1. Alcryst was a surprise baby, born when his older brother was eight years old and his parents hadn't exactly planned on having another child. Luckily, Diamant warmed up to the idea of being an older brother very quickly and when Alcryst was born, he bragged to his friends right away

2. Alcryst has had the same stuffed dolphin, Mr. Flippers, since he was two years old. He brought Mr. Flippers to kindergarten with him for a month before he made some friends. At seventeen, he still takes Mr. Flippers off his closet shelf for cuddles anytime he has a bad day.

3. While Morion and Ruby were always good parents who never compared their two sons, other people constantly held Diamant up as the gold standard whether it was to try to motivate Alcryst or because they didn't approve of him being "different" from his brother. Their parents put a stop to it, but Alcryst's self-esteem was already shot.

4. Alcryst still worshipped his big brother and hoped someday he could be even half as good as him, even if he didn't think it was possible. In turn, Diamant was always supportive and attentive and very protective of him, even letting Alcryst sleep in his bed during storms or if he heard noises under the bed. He even let Alcryst hang out with him and his friends.

5. Unfortunately, half of Diamant's friends didn't like having a little kid hanging around them because it meant they couldn't do dangerous bike stunts or watch edgy cartoons. Diamant always chose his brother and his friend group shrank every year. Luckily, Diamant was fine with this since it weeded out any jerks.

6. Amber and Jade, however, adore Alcryst. Especially Amber, who's an only child and sees Alcryst as his own little brother.

7. Alcryst's friend group consists of Fogado, Céline, Rosado, Alear and Luna (the mayor's twins), Etie, Citrinne, Lapis, and Alear and Luna's little sister Veyle.

8. Citrinne and Alcryst were like peas in a pod growing up, you could barely find one without the other. Citrinne was very protective of him when they first started kindergarten, and one of the reasons he rarely got bullied was because the bullies were scared of her Resting Bitch Face.

9. Alcryst and his friends loved dressing up as themed groups for Halloween. One year they dressed as Power Rangers, another year the Voltron: Legendary Defender Paladins, Simpsons kid characters, the trainers from Pokemon Kalos; they never seemed to run out of ideas.

10. When he was seven, the sight of a skeleton in front of their neighbor's house made Alcryst cry. Not because he was scared, but because he felt sorry for how badly it was set up and about to fall from its post. The neighbor happened to be his father's business rival Hyacinth, who was not amused. Morion was, though.

11. Alcryst and Fogado crushed hard on each other throughout high school until they finally got together the summer before senior year. Though if you asked their friends, they were basically already dating and didn't realize it.

12. Alcryst wore braces in middle school, and his main complaints were how much they hurt and the way certain foods got stuck in them. Cabbage stir-fry was the worst, doubly so because it's one of his favorite foods.

13. Alcryst accidentally came out as bisexual to his family when he called his attractive male substitute teacher "Mr. Boobs". His family barely batted an eyelash and congratulated him, but he was embarrassed for days afterwards.

14. Half of Alcryst's favorite shows, books, movies, and games are LGBT in some form. His favorite franchise is Simon Snow (a big deal in Elyos, has movies and a Netflix series), his first Stardew Valley husband was Sebastian, and he cried tears of joy when Marceline and Bubblegum kissed in Adventure Time.

15. Alcryst's favorite video games are RPGs, but he has a soft spot for Animal Crossing because it helps him wind down. He's terrible at fighting games, and while he gets a kick out of watching Musou Let's Plays, he's afraid to actually touch one.

16. Alcryst has a key to the apartment Diamant shares with Jade and Amber, plus unlimited access to their food unless specified. He still offers to pay them back anytime he eats something, though, and uses coasters for his drinks even though the coffee table is covered in marks that won't come out.

17. Alcryst's favorite junk food is Pringles, his least favorite is Skittles, and every time his or Citrinne's family buys popsicles he eats the orange ones because he feels sorry for them, being left behind after everyone's eaten all the cherries and grapes.

18. Alcryst doesn't like F. Scott Fitzgerald's books, and has apologized to Citrinne for it many times. (The Great Gatsby is one of her favorites.)

19. Morion and Ruby own an outdoor supply and military memorabilia store. Alcryst is very close friends with Saphir, who works for them full-time and used to babysit him when he was little.

20. Alcryst's style is basically "2000s emo scene kid" with a side of fandom apparel, including a t-shirt featuring Napstablook from Undertale and a hoodie he bought specifically because it looked like Sans's from the same game.
